You’ll probably have to take the pup outside in the middle of the night… at that age, they just can’t hold it all night yet. Count on that for a few more weeks at least.
For training, its best to take the pup out on a leash (to go potty), bring it right to its spot, and encourage it to go right away (cheer him on lol), give him LOTS of praise when he goes, the odd treat doesn’t hurt either, then bring him right back in. Making it as quick as possible outside (ie. no play time, just potty) will help the dog to associate that outside=potty, and potty=outside!
Pups should normally stay with their mum and litter mates until at least 8 weeks… so when you get to the vet for the pup’s first checkup (you’ll want to do this in the next couple of days for sure, if you haven’t already), make sure you talk to them about socialization, VERY important lessons that the pup would otherwise learn from its mum. Good luck!

1) Wake up in Morning get on shoes and jacket and get puppy out of crate and take directly outside to were you want puppy to go command to go potty such as hurry up go potty or do business (remember you will be saying this in public for the dogs life time – so choice one that is not offensive).Praise the dog all the time that he/she is going. Use happy excited voice.
2) Take puppy inside and let puppy have so time to play 0(have water available at this time) while you get showered or dressed for the day.
3) Feed Puppy and eat your breakfast
4) Take puppy back outside – repeat process from above if scedual allows take puppy for short walk (such as around your yard) before going back inside (do not use walk as a way of getting puppy to go – as this can create the idea that if I don’t go on my walk I get to walk longer – puppy must go first then get its chance to explore.
5) if your will be at home let puppy have about have hour of play time and then if will probablly fall asleep. Either crate puppy or be were you are 100 percent to when it wakes up.
5a) If you have to go to work have a secure place for puppy such as ex-pen were puppy will have space to use pads and also have a den and play area. If puppy goes on the padsyou do not disipline puppy nor do you prasie ti for going here. The pad is for your conveniance because you cann’t be with the dog all the time and do what is best for the training. Young dogs have small undeveloped blanders and can not go all day without going to the bathroom. If puppy is to be left for more that 4 hours try to have a person come to take puppy out during mid-day. No water with puppy at this time.
6) as soon as puppy wakes up (olr you or walker get home) take puppy outside – do as above.
7) Evertime the puppy eats its two times outside once because they woke up or were gotten out of the crate and once about 20 minutes after you feed them. They have water available with food and when you will be there to take them out as soon as they wake up from nap.
house training adog is as much about the owner learning when to get the puppy out side so that they always (or at least as often as possible) go outside and get hight praise every time that they go. Good things come ofter they have done their business outside such as play and interaction with their people, a chance to go for walk and explaore the environment, and special treats or food.
Of course the last thing you do at night before crawling into bed will be to take the pup outside again.
When you take puppy outside have it on leash as this is an ideal time to also leash brake )get the puppy use to being on lead. when your puppy is about 4 months old you will be able to sign it up for puppy classes and then you can work on your homework for a few minutes each time your outside with your puppy as will as working on the tihings in the house. In this way the puppy learns to follow your command no matter where you give it.
Have a cratea for your puppy in your room so you know if it has woken up and needs to go out very young puppies under 12 weeks often need to go out in the middle of the night be it depends on the breed, and your exact food and water schedual.
